That chip is ready for NV's G80 so Ati is always ready for a new attack.

alot of BS around the world and lot's of idiots fall for that, which causes gossip and untrue statements.

hmm well I'm not so sure because that seems to be a rumor of The Inquierer. and the most rumors from that site did have thier side effects.

Well I still believe that there will be an All In Wonder of all models and the X1700 might come also , that one will get the RV580 core, but that is future stuff

The X1800XT will be released in AGP flavour as far as I know and the best way to find out is to wait and see if ATi is gonna make that statement thier selves 8)

It is known that Fear currently suffers badly from a Driver incompatibility on the new ATI Cards, and add Aniso to the BF2 test, things are looking quite different again.

Basically ATI is on par with the latest NVidia Hardware, while offering superior IQ when using the HQ mode (and trading in some 10% of performance).

So it's true, no "pwnage" to be seen, although Drivers are at their initial stages, so we'll slowly begin to see the ATI Cards sneak ahead over the next months.

Honest scoring :
- currently in favor for NVidia (cards are simply available and are cheaper)
- performance : will slowly turn over to ATI with present set of Hardware due to Driver improvements
- IQ : ATI wins hands down
- Drivers : Nvidia currently clearly ahead (will take ATI 1-2 months to fix their bugs)
- Noise level : NVidia wins with more silent Cooler design, ATI's cards (especially 1300 and 1600 series) too loud with current design
