Anybody knows why my avatar picture isn't shown? When I test the linked location in the browser then it works.

When I try the link in the browser, it works fine.

Make sure that the URL is the only thing in your avatar field.

I had a similar problem when I first joined this forum.

I didn't change anything but I guess it was a problem of Firefox.

Odd, since I can't see it either (Firefox 0.8 ).

IE 5 also does not see it, so I guess there is something wrong with the Image (maybe an animated gif or a special, unsupported gif format ?).

That's strange. If I click on it (right mouse button) and choose "view image" it works.
I used two different pics (jpg and gif), it's always the same.

Öhm..... I can see it now. No idea what's going on here.

Strange, I can save to disk as well.

Ever tried to convert it into a classic .jpg ?
That should always work, unless you're linking to a freehoster, that has limitations for Image Links and alike maybe (?)

This is really strange. :-/ I saw it yesterday after I opened the image in a secondary window.
It works in IE6 with the following steps.

- Open a secondary window and paste the URL in there.
- Refresh the archive forum and select a new topic where you have already posted.
- Your avatar pic is now visible.

However, after coming back to the forum this morning, it's gone again. I had to repeat the same steps in order to see it again.
