Just for the heck of it I bought 100 shares of 3dfx stock about a year ago. At the time, it was only $0.05 per share. So I figured, what the heck. I threw $5.00 at it

I don't watch it all that close but today I got a bank statement in the mail and saw that it hit $0.21 well that made me curious so I ran a 3 month history on it and found that on June 3rd it was up over $.050 a share. Now granted, I wasn't going to be able to retire early on it. But when you think about it, that's a pretty good return. 5 dollars turns into 50 dollars. It would have been nice if I had thrown $500.00 at it, then I would have been looking at $5,000.00

Does anyone know what made the stock rise?

Hm, what I find really odd is the Trade Volume (quite respectable for a Company that supposedly ceased to exist many years ago ??)

Basically I wonder how it's possible that it is still being traded at all.

I guess with a 1000$ investment, one could have bought the whole stocks at the right time and call himself the new owner *g*
