Why are you trying to flash this board?

Chances are you will have a dead board if you attempt this due to unique bios intergrated with motherboard.

Indeed not much, chances are good that you already have the latest BIOS on it.

@George_heyy - be sure you know the board revision first! :o

Latest BIOS for Rev. 1 board is 1.3 = this board is the ORIGINAL MS-6168 from MSI ;)

Latest BIOS for Rev. 2 board is 3.1 = this board is the BORA PRO from Packard Bell ;)

DO NOT FLASH the board with the wrong BIOS, or it's dead MB time! :o

Also, the R2 board uses a special BIOS flash program for the AMIBIOS from Packard Bell... ::)

...be careful out there! :P

@george_heyy, if you don't have a reason to flash the BIOS, don't flash it.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

george_heyy I have a ECS (Elite Computergroup Systems) P6BX-A+ motherboard REV 1.2. It has a 8.4gig hard drive limit. I downloaded the official 40gig bios patch update from ECS so I could use my 60gig Western Digital WD60BB hard drive, but it fried my Bios.

Best thing for you to do is don't update it. I don't trust ECS anymore. Their Bios are bad and ruin your system.
So you are kinda in a pickle like I was. Best thing to do is use old hard drives and old hardware.

The DOS4GW is Native DOS, it's like Command Prompt in XP but it's for old games. XP can't do DOS, neither can Windows 2000. I'm sure you mean that DOS4GW popup up when flashing, as many bios flashers use dos to do that.

DON'T FLASH THE BIOS, use old hardware, or else you'll be buying a new motherboard like I did.
