voodoo2 problem
18.01.07 at 05:25:00

hello  i  was wondering if there are any integrated gfx chipsets that caused the voodoo2 problems, i have been searching for parts to make the ultimate glide machine and i finally came across an old intel ca810e motherboard with a p3 933 in it i have a small collection of voodoo2 1000's i want to try and equip it with,256mb ram, sblv, and 3comnic.[the voodoo's consist of stb black board ram chips top and bottom, other card exactly the same but from a gateway no difference i can see both are stb boards] So i put it all together install windows no problems after installing voodo drivers i notice a weird buzzing on screen it looks like interference then it stops and goes away, my thinking is there is problem with onboard igfx chipset(82810e dc-133 gfx cipset) or there is something wrong with one of my voodoo cards Cry or sli setup? does anyone know of compatibility problems with voodoo cards and integrated gfx chipsets?

It's possible I suppose...some integrated GFX are pretty CR@P... Tongue

If you can, disable inbuilt GFX and install a standalone GFX card (PCI or AGP, whatever...) Wink

If the interference is still there, come back and post again... Tongue

Oh, and PLEASE use 'paragraphs' in your posts - we can only help if we can actually read what you type! Roll Eyes

hello thank you for responding i am only in a postion to
work on my little legacy pc project for about 2 hours a
day Crybut anyways i pulled the two v2's out and noticed
that the snowy static like interference is still there just
less evident however just as i had to go i noticed that it
mostly seemed to happen when i like right clicked and
brought up a sub menu hmm maybe the monitor Undecided tommorow i will check with a different monitor and see
what happens on a side note when i first put it
together i tested it with just the igchipset and the
p3 933mhz cpu, the thing played ka and descent3 in
high resolutions wth great fps ??? i knew then lol that
this would be a great machine for all my glide games but
let me see what happens with the monitor i prey its just
that ill write back...

Actually, your post about the monitor is quite readable in comparison to your first post. Grin

Don't worry about it too much man, it's just something to take note of so others in the forum dont b!tch about it... Roll Eyes

...we're usually pretty laid back here at @Falconfly forums... Wink
