yep,I have been thinking about a x-24 for some time now,and having a full retail one was something I simply could not resist..and the price was not really that bad,"regular" x-24s ususally go for $100-150,and paying extra 40-50 bucks for mint condition&full retail is really not that much..I just hope those a$$h0les at the customs wont give me much trouble, they can be a real PITA when they sniff out a package from US..

ahuh I paid 87 Euro's for my 6K when it was there for like 4 days Lips Sealed

but that is because Gary and I insured it for the full load I paied it for hehe so there is some logicness there but still alot of money seen as an extra, they just like earning extra cash from the people that have to work hard for it, the mungrals  Angry

He3y ps47 congrats by gett'n that X24 Smiley quite expensive I know that Exxe got his for under the 30 Euro's Smiley but Q3D stuff is indeed extremely rare especially when boxed Wink

gonna play some Descent3 with it?

Well there it is with a fantasticly described interview from the seller himself, one to be proud of!
USA Rev.A 3700

this Rev.A 3700 looks very clean and little used, also it has an older based E-Tag.
here some pics of this beast:
... ... ...
... ... ...

Here anotherone but then from the UK!!! I came accross it on the Dutch ebay so thought that it would be nice a one for you guy's Id thought, so why not make a new thread since it's a nice new find hehe.
UK Rev.A 3700

Well here are some pics:
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

It seems that this card does not function as Gary told me, it has no Internal Hookup cable with Molex though the Hookup it's self has been done the right way. at the back of the card it's missing the U509 chip:
...

and here the U509 chip on my card:
...
that chip reads the following:
SC2420ISW
0020
D01025-2

So that might be one of many reasons that this card may not function.

May The Force Be With Your Biddings!!

If the missing chip would be the only issue preventing that Voodoo 5 6000 from functioning, it can easely be soldered into place. The future buyer of this card should just try this small repairing task... (nothing to lose; alot to gain, right?)...

The question is, why is it missing?

Good point there! Because it is not like one could scrape the chip out of the PCB; it could not have fall-off or habe been un-soldered by accident; plus, there are no marks of removal by force showing on the picture...
My guess is that there are 2 possible reasons for why the chip is not there: it was never soldered one to that position or it was un-soldered and removed by professional rework (if so, my Bet is on the hot air gun a.k.a. the heat-gun)...
Who knows... Anyway, the dude who will be the buyer of this item can do no more harm to the card by adding the chip, if he wants to...

That is if he can handle a solder'n iron heh, not everyone have stable hands hehe like I'm one of that lot.

and the other main thing is where to get one of those chips I suppose this is the mainthing overall hehe Smiley

Don't discount the possibility the chip was good and removed for another board.

Try running a search to see if the chips are available.
