heh.

It was a beta tech demo that was leaked.

I use to have leaked alpha/beta stuff for Hexen II, Quake 3 and Shadow Warrior. Might still have some of it on the old tape backups.

Long time ago I had the techdemo, too. It was dated around 1995 or 1996?
Anyways, if I find it I'll drop a line. (Unless someone else finds it first ;))

Btw your site. You should change the 'u' in normal English. It will look a lot more professional and better (IMHO)  :)

You can find the Linux (and Windows) Unreal Tournament demo here:

ftp://ftp.microprose.com/demos/unrealtournament/

and here:

http://www.3dgamers.com/games/unrealtourn/downloads/

The Mac demo can be found at the latter site as well.

Which one was the 2 level with 3dfx on the walls throughout the level?

I may have a bunch of demos stored on old 2.6 mag-optical discs. The original drive I had died a few years ago and I'm watching ebay for another so I can get the data off the discs. I have 2 carts with data on them so I'm sure I have something.

If I come up with something I'll be sure to post it.

Purchased a drive today on Ebay-

Soon as the drive comes in, I'll let you know what I find.

Cool 8)

I remember my friend bringing his PC over to play the demo with me. I had a V3 2000 and he was sporting a 4MB Diamond Monster. He couldn't believe the IQ on mine ;D

Later that week he bought a V3 3000 forcing me to OC my V3_2K to 166MHz ::)

haha nice one there Gamma, how far did you OC it core/mem 183+?  8) I hope so a good way to PWN him ;D

If I recall, I kept it @ 167MHz and added a 486 CPU fan to the stock Black Cooler.

It was enough for me to be able to make my $129 card run equal to his $179 card, and mine sported active cooling ;D

I lucked out- The V3-2000 I have would touch 190 mhz with a 486 fan.

Still have it too =)

That would be Voodoo 4/5 with 32MB/64MB onboard RAM. V5 uses 32MB pro GPU; 2x GPU, 2x32MB RAM. There is also the monster V5 6000 with 4xGPU and 4x32MB=128MB, but that card is out of reach for mortals, belive me  :-/

Wow that's nice ;)

Mine would start showing artifact at around 185 MHz while running Q3 timedemo, I would loop it for awhile testing. Back then it was my main graphics card so I didn't want to damage it.

Later when I was a member of "v3info" I flashed it with the V3 3000 BIOS and pretty much left it alone after that.

I did find the Quake conversion to Aliens that was "Foxed" by Fox's lawyers.

An excellent conversion if you have never viewed it.

Heh, well...all else failing - you could always mirror the Aliens-Quake TC as a .torrent file... ::) :P

LOL! ;D

Well not sure if this helps anyone here or not but I have a copy of Unreal that came with my Diamond Banshee card. The properties on the Setup.exe says January 22nd, 1998. I have no idea if this is any different from the retail version or not, just thought I'd mention this if your looking for something. The cd really doesn't have much on here other then DX 5 everything else seems to be for the game install.
