Hi guys, I need some questions answered.
I'm thinking of getting thise:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180009543006&sspagename=ADME:... IF it's NTSC, waitinf for the guy to reply back.......
But I've got a question about using the TV function.
What's it look like? Screen shots? If someone could post some screen shots or a link to some screen shots and a guide for recording TV shows, thata be great. Also, what formats and quality can you record video? WMV? 512kbps? 320x240 or 640x480? I love using TV Tuners. My 1st TV Tuner was the ATI 8500dv a-i-w. It was a great card, had no problems with it, recorded my settings with no problem. I then used a ATI 9800 Pro a-i-w which had minor problems if I didn't install the drivers right (nsp wmd driver and catalyst version conflict -both had to be compatible).... And now my ATI x800xt a-i-w, which has problems but I can fix, like when I record video at 320x240 @ 1200kbps, it looks much narrower, and the video gets squished like a tall skinny person. Thats probably the encoding problem, and if I create a custom video setting it ignores that. My ATI 8500dv a-i-w never ever game me problems like that.
I have a Voodoo 3 3000agp, my sister game me her old pc which is a AMD 900Mhz pc and it's got an AGP 1.0 slot (my voodoo 3 3000 agp fits in there and works nicely). Oh, and I'll be using Windows 98 upgrade version.
Any responce to my question would be greatly apreciated.
Oh, and I got interested in TV Tuner cards when my brother 1st had one 6 or 7 years ago. His was something like a DirectX 6 with 32mb, not sure what the model or brand was, but it was slower and not as good as the ATI 7500 (I wanted the ATI 7500 a-i-w but I got the plain 7500 w/ TV Out, wich isn't what I wanted, so I got the 8500dv a-i-w). Ever since then, I was hooked on TV Tuners. Too bad it looks like ATI is selling their company, time to stock up on their drivers for backups I think(?).
