there is a "mismatched driver". You can run two voodoo 2 cards with different memory setups like 12MB+8MB in a total of 16MBs

I have seen these drivers as well.  Can someone correct me if 12+8 is not 20, and not 16? k. thanks. bye.

If you think over it a bit, you might come to the conclusion, that in SLI the 2 cards have render the same amount of Data and the 12MB card will work as a 8MB version ;)

I thought it over now that it is morning.  Late night drinking and thinking do not always go hand in hand  :D

@exxe - got the point, but the rest of you need to stay of the liquor I think... :D

Anyhow, to answer the question at the top of the thread:

NO, it's NOT possible. ::)

A Banshee is a "standalone" card. ;)

You can only SLI two Voodoo 2 cards together. :)

I think he has a whatever-Voodoo2 12MB and a Monster 3D II 8MB. If he had a Banshee, he might have thrown in "Fusion" since it stands somewhere on the card, as "Monster 3D II" does ;)
Perhaps he is a bit confused :D

But doesn't the mismatched driver make it also possible to run 8MB and 12MB versions of V2s together in SLI? I never tried it myself...
Or was it just to run V2s with the same amount of memory but different manufacturers/layouts but same amount of mem together?

To answer that, please post a pic of the cards first, maybe we can help you better if we see what you got actually ;)

got it figured out, two diff cards, i can't do anything with em, one is indeed a voodoo and the other is a monster 3dII so i'll just take the cards and do whatever with them, i'll find some use for them,.....i tok 5 mins and swapped the cards in and out of my tester rig
they are what i previously wrote, VD2 and M3D II not banshee... :(

Guys!!! Guys!!!

Listen!

M I S M A T C H E D   Driver
means you can install and use a M I S M A T C H E D pair of two different Voodoo 2 Cards.

If you have one with 12MB and one with 8MB it will be 16MBs total.

YES WE CAN ;)

for example:

8MB MONSTER II 8MB

+

12MB CREATIVE VOODOO 2 12MB

=

16MB Mismatched SLI with
mismatched Voodoo 2 Driver
