that is really strange, I wonder what card this was supposed to become if they were indeed 3DFX cards.
I don't see the logo of 3DFX anywhere, just the 1999 3DFX etc etc.

it looks to be 1 clean cut pcb, so......only 3dfx cards that come close in length are the Rush cards, which were pci only and the 6000, but that is a lot higher in regards to the pcb itself.....really strange

Not so strange when you think that 3dfx bought STB a company that had sold cards with chips from different manufactures.
I think they had the design ready when they were bought by 3dfx and that was follow on to the larger sandwich design which they had sold previously:
http://www.vgamuseum.info/images/stories/vlask/nvidia/mvppro1281s.jpg

Not all STB products had the logo on them and this follows that model with only 1999 3dfx Interactive mentioned.
Do no compare this card to 3dfx powered cards like Rush instead look at STB and previous models.

The PC bridge chip that this quad nvidia card has is the same as the one found on early Intel V5 6000 cards.
See here a comparison:

I know 3DFX bought STB, but if it is a previous STB design, as you showed, why would there be 3DFX printed on there?

The only reason for that could be that 3DFX had plan with the pcb for other chips, maybe a single PCB voodoo2? voodoo3 SLI?
there is no reason why 3DFX would be printed on the card, if 3DFX would've been acquired by STB it could make sense,

this just seems like s funny prank from STB, or did 3DFX also sell nvidia based cards?

Indeed, Avenger based cards have STB prints on the PCB (although 3dfx logo on the rear was added anyway).

My theory:

If you buy a big company, probably you'll have still to follow out orders of the company you have just acquired (hey I had a deja-voodoo here...). It's possible that those quad-riva128 cards (Enseo MVP Pro SE) had been commissioned to STB while STB was acquired from 3dfx. Then 3dfx/STB hybrid immediately started the Voodoo3 production line in 1999, thanks to STB production plants. Between 1999 and 2000, the STB brand disappears completely and sort out the order for Enseo formally under 3dfx Interactive name since in the meanwhile STB palnts were "upgraded" already to 3dfx plants. From that point onwards, every product will have 3dfx Interactive prints on it, just like Napalm production that have the 2000 3dfx Interactive prints.

If this theory is more or less correct, could be others weird cards made by 3dfx.

That does sound logical and to that end, one would only have to look for cards made by companies that have been acquired by 3dfx.

- STB
- Gigapixel (they didn't make cards as far as I know]

Any more??
