Title: Re: Posting from Mercury 2012 Post by gdonovan on 14.03.12 at 00:59:14 There is still stuff out there, if somewhat hard to find sometimes! Unmolested Mercury units with BLACK brick, Viper 550 8 meg primary adapter, 9 gig Maxtor IDE drive in cradle with dual 450 mhz Pentiums with 512 megs of ram running NT4SP6. Did I mention there is two of them? :D |

Hehe, both systems seem to have been through a lot ^^
I like the User Guide :) It reminds me of the manuals for our highend solution systems at Fujitsu 8-) |

I'm sure they have- Who knows how long they were kicking around Quantum3D's facility in Florida! Odds are since they were assembled in 1999 based on the motherboard date of 2/99 I'll have to examine them both close and check all the dates. |

sometimes I wish I lived in the States as well, so I could go and find stuff like this.
Here in Holland I don't know where to find that kinda stuff. :( Totally dependent on what comes up on ebay and sites like that |

Location only helps when it comes to shipping, trust me! I wished I lived in the same area as Quantum3D/3dfx so I could troll through all the second hand computer stores and surplus outlets! |

Everything looks bad in IE6 when you've been checking your code in chrome and firefox all day :) |

I don't know if those two browsers are supported under NT4. Yes I was posting via the Mercury PC. :D |

Almost got the second unit back together- Someone had picked at it for spare parts! Was missing half the ram, 4 fans, case grill and some wiring had been cut.
I had most of the pieces aside from one fan which I just grabbed off ebay and finished loading the hard drive last night. |
