Title: Problems with Falconfly's 3DFX Archive?
Post by Komponent on 31.07.06 at 18:45:13
I was browsing the web pages of this great site and I found myself into trouble, because some of the links opened strange looking, almoust unreadable pages, so I wanted to ask: is it a problem related with my browser (Opera9), or is it a bug of the site, that is going to be fixed?
Could you also try the links below and see if it runs OK for you?

Thanks, Falconfly, for maintaining this great place for us, the 3DFX fans!

Yeah, all Servers acted very bad this morning, simple Page loads took forever or didn't work at all.

Seemed to be a Problem on the Networking Center (Admin features acted the same way) - but appears to be all fixed now :)

Reminds me I have to make alot of updates which I was too lazy for in the last weeks *g*

--- EDIT 2355Z ---

*urgs*
The mentioned page still looks the same :(

Guess it's time for some fixing around, I'll look at it right now.

--- EDIT 0005Z ---

This is worse than I expected, the HTML Pages are actually broken on the Server (?)
I hope the Files are okay, I really don't appreciate the Idea of re-uploading 3200MB of Data :P

--- EDIT 0015Z ---

Hm, re-uploading the Archive's Image Storage and HTML Pages right now, I hope that's all that was broken.
Page Index dates look okay for now.
Considering it's 02:15 AM here now I'll have to probe the file conditions tomorrow.

Please post here or drop me a note if you find corrupt/missing Files or Images on the Archive once its Pages are restored.

FalconFly doesn't your server use RAID 1 for a backup incase such a problem occurs? If it's just html that's good, as I and many people depend on the driver files you host.

Yes, it should use all the good stuff.

Quite weird that this was possible....

The mantra of the ADMIN... ::)

"To ERR is human...BUT...

To !@#? things up completely...
...REQUIRES a computer"

Notably, if something improbable CAN happen on a computer it eventually WILL - nothing is ever impossible. :P
