I was wondering if somebody could tell me what model is this card from Creative:
-IMAGE REMOVED FROM EBAY- I don't think it's an AWE. Am I wrong? ??? P.S.: I know the picture is not terrible... |

Hum, might be, yes.
And what about this one? The guy says it's a "Eudusa" card which works as an audio and a modem card! ??? Little bit too long no? Here some better pics http://www.forum-auto.com/sqlforum/section7/sujet162655.htm |

Well, the Chip numbers will identify the Cards, but all of those images are simply unusable to identify anything :-/

Schade. The problem is, the guy only has his mobile phone in to take pictures!
:o I use my phone to make calls, not to take pictures... ever tried to cook a roastbeef on the motor of your car? If not, I can tell you it might work, but not as good as if you'd do it in a kitchen... :P |

That explains the fuzzy pictures ;D |

;D
Now this might be the explanation...! I love it when it goes off-topic, really! They used to call me "le floodeur" (means "the one who floods, who goes always off-topic"). Got banned two times from my beloved forum. But now it's okay, I'll get 18 soon so I need to cool down! :P And now I'm getting even more off-topic... FF won't like that! :o |

Sure it did!
Does any one know something about this sound/modem card? The manufacturer is the Canadian Eudusa. :o |

Can't read the Chip numbers unfortunately, I can only see the Crystal soundchip.
|
Title: Re: Unknown Creative audio card Post by LuxKiller65 on 26.02.05 at 10:34:43
Crystal you say? So is it a serious card or just one of those old card with basic sound chips? From the length, it reminds me of the AWE...
I got the original picture (bigger). Just below "CRYSTAL" on the biggest chip, it says: CS4231A-KL WX(or K, can't read well)AXC09523 :) Oh, and also the four long connectors on the back of the card they say: PANASONIC IDE MITSUMI SONY name written under every connector |

Driver for Win95/98 :
http://www.falconfly.de/temp/cs4231a-kl.zip The Connectors are for the proprietary CD-ROM's from these times (before they standardized it into the common ATAPI Protocol and towards the standard IDE Connector) |

Thanks a lot for helping me!
:D Did you find a whole page on that card? |
Title: Re: Unknown Creative audio card Post by LuxKiller65 on 26.02.05 at 13:37:21
Thanks. I don't know why, but long cards have always had a strange influence on me...
Do Pentium III motherboards generally have at least one ISA slot? ??? p.s. Is it a Boca Sound Expression or something? |

I'm not sure but I think I found it!
http://www.embeddedlogic.com/TH99/t/A-B/51597.htm God now that's a nice in-depth explanation of the card! :o |

Cool! What a shame none of the manuals (.pdf) work!
Thanks anyway for the link! |

Back in the day they were found most in Packard Bell computers here (cheap, cheap, cheap)... So were considered not as good as the "gold standard" Creative Labs. |
Title: Re: Unknown Creative audio card Post by LuxKiller65 on 27.02.05 at 15:43:57
I see. Anyway, I won't be able to test it, it's only for my collection.
