Post by neo23 on 04.09.03 at 14:00:57
when i start a game that supports glide the 3dfx splash screen does not appear!i use voodoolizer 1.05.00 with win98se  and win2000pro with the same driver package!

Or try the 3dhq Beta 10's. Also a good set. I'm not too sure about those voodoolizers...

I'm not too sure about neither of those .inf modified drivers   :-/

The best ones you can use are the AmigaMerlin set(s), I have expirienced a lot of problems installing 3DHQ or Voodoolizer.

Those .inf mods has given me nothing but trouble with Windows 98SE/XP - the most stable are the AM2.9 for 9X and AM2.5SE for XP (and soon AM3.0 - XP)

Write back and let us know how it works out for you. ;)

This is what i know for a FACT! ;)

Best drivers for Voodoo 4/5 = AmigaMerlin ;D

Best Drivers for Voodoo 2 = FastVoodoo ;D

Nuff said! :P

Peace! 8)

FYI - in regards to the origional topic about the GLide screen not working ---

With the new AmigaMerlin driver set it works -- thanks to koolsmoky (GLide 3.x) and Colourless (GLide 2.x) it will now show the 3Dfx animated screen when it is enabled in the tools.

Previous versions of glide (after 3dfx ceased to exist), more or less modified, succeed in makin the splash screen unseen, so it is not the first version of glide that you will find with this problem. Also the opengl was sensible to the same problem with some versions of glide or opengl itself.
