Title: eBay test disclaimer - your thoughts please. Post by paulpsomiadis on 16.06.15 at 23:40:12
Hi everyone!
Been rather busy "in real life" lately and am thinking of selling some of my non-used electrical / computer things and games on fl-eBay... I've prepared a terms disclaimer to cover myself and protect against eBay trolls, but just want to run it by you folks to see if there's anything I missed. FEEDBACK if you please (definitely not a pun...) -------------------------------------------------------- test disclaimer =============================== TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Anyone with ZERO or NEGATIVE feedback - please contact me before bidding. Please only bid if you intend to buy - all bids are final. No time wasters please. Please note that upon placing the winning bid that you are entering into a legal contract to be responsible for paying the final bid price and any postage for the item. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay. All items included are listed in the "IN THE BOX" section of the auction and nothing else is included. All items are fully tested before sale - and have their serial numbers fully logged to prevent fraud. All possible effort has been made to give accurate description and pictures of the item - including any known defects. Unless extensive proof of damage or faults can be given to eBay or myself, there should be no reason to return the item. Items proven to be non-functional can be returned within 14 days. Please contact me before initiating a case on eBay returns centre - as these can take up to a month to complete. (It always helps to discuss your problems with the item first.) All possible effort is taken to pack items carefully and ensure they reach their destination safely - I cannot take responsibility for any damage which may be a result of courier mis-handling AFTER I pack the item carefully. All items are shipped by recorded post to avoid fraud. (tracking numbers added when item shipped) All items are shipped by the end of the week (if auction ends mid week or Friday morning) or by the following Monday (if auction ends on a weekend). If a returned item is found to be tampered with in ANY way - it will be documented with pictures to inform eBay. Good luck bidding! |

Although I don't buy a whole lot on there, the wording all looks good and looks like you covered your self ok from anything.

I do see 1 mistype :)
In the "items proven to be not functional " part, at the end you say "it always helps to discuss your problems with the item 1st"....that should probably be person instead of item :) |

You could put it either way for that paragraph, but I was emphasizing the fact that the customer would be contacting me if he/she has issues with the item sold...hence why it was written like that. ;)
