Crystal you say? So is it a serious card or just one of those old card with basic sound chips? From the length, it reminds me of the AWE...

I got the original picture (bigger). Just below "CRYSTAL" on the biggest chip, it says:

CS4231A-KL
WX(or K, can't read well)AXC09523

Oh, and also the four long connectors on the back of the card they say:

PANASONIC

IDE

MITSUMI

SONY

name written under every connector

I don't know why, but long cards have always had a strange influence on me... Do Pentium III motherboards generally have at least one ISA slot? ??? p.s. Is it a Boca Sound Expression or something?

So were considered not as good as the "gold standard" Creative Labs.
