Hello all within a few weeks I will obtain this board and the following setup:

2x Intel Pentium!!!/EB 1Ghz
4x 256MB PC-133 Micron.
Abit VP6 Dual Socket 370 Mainboard

here a good review about this great board:
http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/reviews/motherboards/VP6_1.html

and here the tech specs:

Specifications / Features of the Abit VP6
VIA and Intel X 2

CPU:

   * Supports Pentium III Coppermine FC-PGA 370 processor (Based on 66/100/133MHz clock)

   * VIA chipset (VT82C694X and VT82C686B)
   * Supports Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface (ACPI)
   * Supports AGP 1X/2X/4X (Sideband) 3.3V device

Ultra DMA 100:

   * High Point HTP370 IDE Controller
   * Ultra DMA 100MB/Sec data transfer rate

this board should run with a v56k
VIA chipset is good
and the slot on the photo says 3,3v

hutzeputz have a
Tyan S2466N-4M Tiger MPX DUAL SATA100
with two 2600+

Pentium3's were there at the same time as 3dfx. So it's more likely that a P3 board will work with 3dfx cards then any newer board  ;)

@ elfuego:

well it's because Voodoo5 6000's don't cope well with intel based systems dunno if that pupose was only chipset based since my Duallie P3 1Ghz has the VIA Apollo Pro 133A chipset :) but testing a Voodoo5 6000 isn't like testing a common 3dfx AGP x2 card, it's  totally different cause.

Since some boards with an AGP x2/x4 have 3.3Volt won't run with a 6K but will with any other 3dfx AGP cards including a 5000 AGP for instance.

The Voodoo5 6000 is limited to a few boards which it will opperate in therefore I posted this topic if there are any others that know about the safty of this ABiT VP6 & Voodoo 5 6000's, even if the specs of it's chipset & AGP interface sound so safe.

Read Gary's V6K FAQ and there you will see that this VP6 isn't listed.

@ Exxe:

The  Tyan S2466N-4M Tiger MPX has no Via Chipset and uses AMD AthlonMP CPU's that doesn't help me much. ???
