Win 98 Beta 10 3HDQ driver findings.

Just letting other people know that the best drivers I've come across with using 98SE and some older games has been the Omiga 2.9 drivers with my V5. The Beta 10 drivers from 3dhq have been acting like they don't always initialize during boot up. Comes up as 600x400 about every other boot and then have to reboot to get it back to 1024x768. The Omiga drivers have been flawless so far. Just letting other people know that, tha's all. I've been on a 98 kick lately with some of my old favorites.

Yep, X-3dfx and Omega's Win9x Drivers really were the best and fastest of their time.

For Games of that period (and older), I also often found them to be the best ones to have around Smiley

just wondering but what is the best driver for windows 9x to play halo???? I have x3dfx version 1.07 and the game freezes after about 10 minutes of play. Faster if I drive around in vehicles.

you need win2000/xp and SFFT driver if you want to play Halo without freezes.
