does the 6ns v3 3500 have bios version 2.15.07?
2.15.07 is a strange bios coz the original clocks are 166/166 instead of 183/183! this could be the answer.... |

I do remember that there is a Quantum3D Vantana Voodoo3 3500 with 6ns RAM and it has a core/mem speed of 166Mhz also.

Nice collection, any boxes with that?
|
Title: Re: MY v3 collection Post by BFG3dfx on 14.12.05 at 22:37:05
no, no boxes, i collect just cards and cd, my plan is to have my collection on wall above my computer so i can see them all the time, thats what makes me happy, but i do love the box art.

WOW! So the V5 6000 'load testing' V3 is your card then...SHWEET! ;D
I myself prefer Banshee cards - they're like the 'odd man out' sort of as they are kind of like a cross breed between a single V2 and a half a V3...hmm... ::) :P |

One of five that I know of, the last two are in my hands. |
Title: Re: MY v3 collection Post by paulpsomiadis on 15.12.05 at 22:25:31
Last two? ???
Date-wise or just known samples without specific chronology? ??? |

Known samples made. One is my personal board of course, the other one is set aside for intresting trade. |

paulpsomiadis, i like the banshee alot too, space and money are my biggest concern when collecting 3dfx items because of that i picked the cards i liked most, i really had no idea when i started there would be this many but i really couldnt be happier.

What's the red thing on the 6k PCB?
??? |

It's a coil. Not uncommon. Motherboards and I believe most high-end graphic cards have them too.
