Title: heatsinks - 370 vs A Post by razrx on 24.07.08 at 20:51:39
I bought a heatsink/fan with a motherboard and CPU that was an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ setup - socket A. I didn't use the heatsink/fan, but bought a different one for the setup. Now I have a Socket 370 motherboard - Soyo SY-7VBA133U. Can I use the extra heatsink/fan for this socket?
If needed, I can take some pictures when I get back from work. thanks! |

well it depends on the heatsink how large it is because it could come in contact with the caps near the socket of the Soyo MB |

It's all good! The heatsink/fan fits perfectly and no contact is being made with any capacitors.
