Ebay's set time auctions encoaurage snipers and autobids. Shame they don't do proper auctions but then they might not make as much money that way.

well the funny thing is, its not only obi, fafus70 as well, deemd reliable, and they both retracted with the same excuse. and did not place a new bid price... so its fishy as it is already

Selling a 3dfx prototype card is not a normal auction.  There's emotion, bragging rights, high value, rarity of such an item all drives people to do crazy things.

Nothing like yo-yo auctions to drive one nuts.  It's like watching the value of one's 401k rise and fall through out the day when the market goes into PPT mode.  :o

I agree with Eye-Q.  This is an interesting auction to watch, regardless of whether you are actually bidding or not.

coincidentally, the alchemy 8x VSA100 on ebay.de is also ending around the same time.
