There it is, "Vertigo Series" 4th pic from the bottom included in "The Definitive Collection"

I've never seen the Venture Pack. Is it and add-on for Descent 1 or 3? I need to look for that one. It's the only one I'm missing Wink

hehe funny idea to copy some voodoo cards with LEGO, we can make a quiz show "What's this Lego card in real ?"

I got plenty and plenty of Lego's pieces, and they're all nice packed up upstairs...

Okay, since it's my first real occasion to contribute to the 3dfx community, I'll soon start my first experiment which is called:

Legofx: When 3D and plastic come together


I'll begin trying to replicate a standard Voodoo card, maybe the V4 or V5.

I was having trouble running Descent2 on my V3. Everytime I went into the automap "Tab" and returned to the game the textures were all mess up. Did any of you find a fix for that? All I found was that the D2Voodoo patch only supports the V1 and V2 cards. I also tried the other unsupported patch little better graphics but the same problem. V5 same problem Cry

Hmm if the problem is universal for different cards, either... Tongue

1) Your drivers are corrupted and you need to do a clean install, or... Tongue

2) Theres something "not right" with the system itself...(RAM, Mainboard, etc...) Tongue

Anyone heard of @Gamma742's problem? ???

What does this have to do with Descent,  anyway I prefer ontopic please.

I made a few.

In the mission builder contest, I won "Descent to Undermountain" Didn't care much for that game but was thrilled to have won something in the contest Grin

No I never done that really, I'm still stunned on what the game still is, the story in is also very good, imho Smiley

I got the Vertigo ones know too, I downloaded them from an opensource site, since that the Descent 1 & 2 engine are now opensurce, it was free to download Smiley So now my Descent Collection is alittle more complete.

Now I finally know what the Vertigo missions was about, when Matarial Defender Mil1032 had his acident with is hyper drive, Dravis said that contact with him was impossible to his new employee, well I'm in level 6 now , and I wonder if this new employee will try and contact help to find Matreial Defender Mil 1032 Smiley

There are even great novels on the Descent story, I hope that one there will be a movie of this great saga. I wonder what the story line of Descent IV Invasion would of been, so sad that it was canceled  Cry

    -Cleaning up the source code and making it more easily modifiable

    -Getting rid of DOS specific code

    -Making the code fully DirectX compatible (sounds, networking)

    -Implementing a full 3D accelarated renderer (both D3D and OGL)

    -Creating brand new effects (fog, particles, etc.)

    -Improving the game media

It's been a long time since I played it, I don't remember if I put a Mission Briefing in this one or not. I did make it Co-op and Single player. Be careful when you attempt to rescue Captian Tuffly...

Level Name:
Mount Slagel II

Description:

Captain Tufly was station at Mt. Slagel II to develope
an anti-virus program to eradicate this and all PTMC
mines of the alien infestation that has infiltrated
the systems. During his attempt to re-initialize the
memory core, the Alien Boss II was actively teleporting
and the anti-virus program had no affect on it. Our last
transmission from Captain Tufly He reported that the
Alien Boss II began teleporting and spawning new robots
throughout the mine and before he could re-initalize the
anti-virus program, he was taken hostage.

Material Defender, Your primariy mission is to rescue
Captain Tufly. Consider the other hostages expendable.
Captain Tulfy is being held deep in the Control Center,
expect heavy resistance.

Oh a tip on Slagel2.

If you get trapped in a force field grabbing the Plasma Cannon, the trick is "Decend" into the false floor then "ascend" and that will deactivate the force field.
