The money is on the way, it won't go faster.
I'm sure about the buyer, he knows what he buys.
And he has read the description carefully.

Anyone can bid like crazy, paying the money is another thing, I don’t think they have a bargain by any means.

We need to check the bid history. Because to win your bid must be higher then the bid before for only $1. It means that somebody bid $1725 and this guy bid a dollar more - $1726.
What a crazy world. Lucky seller Wink

How can you be so sure ? I still have doubts about this, but if it's true then you are indeed very lucky.

Can you please confirm when the payment was made ?

Thanks.

If I was a millionaire I would have bid a lot more then that, just for the fun of having another one. To some people money has no value anymore. I guess there were two in this auction who had a bit more to spend this christmas.

One of my customers went yesterday to take some pictures of a property he is going to sell, the roads were too bad so he just took a helicopter. Landed in his garden, 40min round trip. Job done.  Grin

Maybe two bidders wanted to be sure to get it so they overbid not expecting it to go as high as it did. I'm sure theres more than a few people that do that on this forum.

Good luck with the evalution box auction BTW, it will be interesting to see what it fetches.

Hmm, true, but it happens time and time again, it's not a coincidence if one follows the who's who. They are probaby surprised it went that high, but it's not out of their reach I don't think.

Thanks though, yea it will be interesting. Smiley

Yes, there are a lot of rich people, but very few are insterested in old video cards, trust me. They are insterested in exotic cars, expensive watches, jewelry and stuff like that.

Ah, one more thing - rich guys are usually very miserly (they spend the money with great care).

But we are going really offtopic now - I STILL wait for huteputz's answer : did you get the money ?  Cheesy

Quite happy with what I got for it, I was expecting perhaps a tad higher, but still pretty good considering christmas is around the corner and people have less to spend.

Glad to see it go to G1nx aswell.  WinkSmiley

Well that was fun.

Yeah blood was pumping faster as the last seconds were counting down.

@oldskool
I guess for a V3 card it's pretty high could have been better but in any case I'm glad to be adding a new item to my collection. The box with accessories are the attractive part.

I know the feeling, the blood always pumps a bit faster on things like that. Anyway, it's nice to see it go to somebody on here rather then a random person.

Ps. Did anyone ever confirm rimshaker12 got paid for his V5 6K @ $3,161.00 / £2,010.94?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260674993459&ssPageName=STR...

It was a zero feedback bidder.

I can only imagine he got the money.  Here is the person who won the auction - http://myworld.ebay.com/kaethe16

Yeah, me too. I was thinking it would go for around  £1500.  I was going to bid up in that region, but I have started to draw lines on what stuff I am buying.  I am slowly fading out of the 3dfx/Q3D scene.  I am satisfied and happy with what I have and will just enjoy my things for what they are.  (good news for many as I will probably not be going after many eBay items, unless of course they are a steal)

Nope, seller magically decided to keep his cards.  (yes he has two 3700A's w/ VV)
