The seller states that there are no more than 30 known cards of which about 25 are functional - nonsense, maybe he thinks of the v6k...
He also states that some 3dfx-cards went for a couple of thousand euros and that the 149 Euro starting price is low...

I don't know if he really believes that a dime-a-dozen-card is worth that money (every other 5500 AGP brings no more than 40 Euros here in Europe, tops) or that he just wants to fool people who don't know the normal market price of that card...

he is still nothing compared to that other guy selling a voodoo banshee for thousand dollars.

What he states exactly is about the cards revision.

He claims that this is a late revision (2500) and very rare (that 25 out of 30 fairytale)... I think he's only waiting for some poor fanboy who really think this is the truth  Angry

Hehe, I should have responded quicker...  Grin  Good thing I don't really care, as 3dfx doesn't take up as much of my time as it used to.  3dfx scene is getting quieter and quieter lately. ( I can see why some people are selling out )

I'm not optimistic, I go in for an MRI next Tuesday to see if they can find out what is going on.

Maybe they will allow me to take pictures of the scans! lol

Funny stuff :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250551043135&ssPageName=ADM...

£80 for a V3 2000 PCI.

So I kindly emailed him (why I bothered I don't know) telling him that £80 is a bit optimistic when they sell for around I dunno, £15 max.

Guy replies :

Quote:
Its nothing to be offending, what you said is a business point of view but once you sit in the market you'd find out what the market says about these cards and at what price they talk about.
On amazon i've sold 9 of these for £100 without any problem and complaints, this is the 10th.
Im using a relevant one and the cost for that card is beyond your thinking(not being offending)If your intrested in buying then i might consider a reasonable offer.
Thankyou.

I's enough to read this, in order to understand who we are speaking with:

Quote:
THIS CARD IS IDEAL FOR ARCHITECTURAL, ENGINEERING, DESIGNING, GAMING AND ETC. BY TRADE IM A ARCHITECT ENGINEERING DESIGNER WHO HAS TO DESING BUILDINGS AND ETC AND I USE A 3DFX PLATINUM II CAD CARD (WTF???) WHICH IS THE LATEST CARD FOR DESKTOP COMPUTERS AND IT DERIVES A AMAZING QUALITY PICTURE.

No words Embarrassed

Oh it gets better believe me.

Quote:
if you'd know what these cards play at then you'd wouldnt waste time sending me these msgs.
By trade im a architect engineer designer as also told in listing, these cards cost the max £3000 which is unaffordable for those who are not knowing what they are used for.
25 years of business whom is running a mutlicored business and earning £40,000 a month in america is my graphics and computing builder for apple mac, he isnt going to be that stupid to install a card or build a computer of no value.
The apple mac i currently have is a custom build with a 3dfx platinum cadII card, 8 gig ram, 2x 1.5tb hdd and led 12.1" crystal bright display of 2gb nvidia g+dodge force card.
Now calculating the price for this computer is beyond thinking if i'd sell this on ebay.
If you are a collector of these cards, i would like to ask a question that where are they manufactured, rectified with the bridgable links to add another card and where do the processor heat sink shunt should be placed to keep the card cool? and also when was the first card manufactured?
Thankyou.

That guy is hilarious!!!!
But to be honest it's just some guy using Babelfish or Google translate.
All the words and sentences do not seem to make any sense.

That means mailing the guy won't do any good either, because he probably won't understand what your telling him.
