Finding new hardware...

This goes along with the "New hardware thread" but it would bring that board off subject maybe so I'm posting this here.
How do you guys find some of the cards you do? Like the internal Nvidia card that was just posted by someone. Looking thru Ebay I would think would take forever on looking thru it and a majority of it is standard fair anyway so... are you glancing thru items that are due in the next couple of hours of when you look or are you looking for specific things? I'm just kind of curious. Maybe a combination of both?
I'm looking thru that thread and seeing quite a few things that are very cool and I'm just wondering how you found out about them, or if it was just by chance you happened to find it, or is looking at ebay or some other auction site something that you do on a daily basis?
Anyway, nice find for most of you that have picked up recent cards and hardware. I don't seem to have the time or money to really look for anything so it's cool to see what you guys have found.

I get my stuff from other collectors. I got most of the somewhat rarer stuff in my non-3dfx collection from Timber when he sold his collection.
The somewhat rarer stuff in my 3dfx collection, I got from other collectors and ebay.
I'm not entirely sure how others get those rarer items but I believe that getting into contact with the people who actually worked on the hardware (the engineers), can be a positive experience.

I usually find my stuff, allbeit not so rare, on things like ebay as well, tho I prefer the local merchant places.
Cause there, the sellers usually see the stuff as old hardware they are glad to get a few bucks for, and don't automatically try and charge you 50 bucks for a 5500 AGP for example
If I do find some rarer cards I mostly buy em so I can sell them here to you guys, I like to play with the cards I have, and I rather don't do that with cards that are rare or prototype

I'm searching for hardware on different forums, ebay and other sites. It is useful to have connections with other collectors, sometimes they are selling some stuff or have something for exchange.
There is also a great shop in Moscow - it sells old used hardware, sometimes it is even not used (boxed). This shop has strange price policy: the older hardware is - the lower price they ask. For example, I've bought boxed Number Nine Revolution3D for just 3 USD. Though I don't live in Moscow, so I need to pay additional price for delivery.

Thanks guys, I was just curious on how you came to be with some of this equipment. Connections with others does make the most sense and I wasn't really thinking of that.
Thanks for taking the time to post. It's cool seeing some of the items that some of you have gotten over the years.
Thanks.
