Title: Looking for up to date motherboard drivers Post by bucksavage on 03.03.12 at 08:51:22
I have an Intel D845HV mainboard running an Intel i845 chipset and a P4 1.4mhz, code name Willamette.
I want to make sure all the drivers for the various components for it are up tp date, and so far, my usual haunts, Windows Update and Download.com have proved to be not too helpful. Any idea where I can look to even just compare my driver versions against the most up to date drivers, and then download what I need to update? |

Has it crossed your mind to visit Intel's website?
Honestly, I don't understand why people use websites other than the manufacturer's website to get drivers. :-? (note; this is just a rant, nothing personal) |

Also, I should have added that I run WinXP SP3.
And NitroX, no worries man, as soon as you said, "Check Intel" I was like, DUH why didn't I think of that? lol |

I tried Intel's java applet tonight to check my drivers a let me know what ones to download, but it's slow as hell on my dial-up connection. I use Firefox, I have IE but don't like it anymore, but at least it gives you the option to download the active x version of the applet and install it yourself, only issue was that it came up lame, some kind of "network error." WTH? Tried it online and off in IE, didn't work.
EDIT: Where there ever any "unofficial" service packs developed from XP, much like the unofficial but handy service pack for Win98se? |
