I play a novalogic game caled F16...when Im in the game I cant minimize the game so as to check the ip's of the other gamers in my rooms...(to boot cheaters)...I know the big answer is to run a seperate PC and host the game on a network, then enter my own game through a second PC...but is there a way  or a program available that allows the game to continue while yet minimized?...as of now if I hit my windows button to minimize the game my whole PC locks up..

Well I hit ctrl+v at same time and nothing happens..stays full screen in game...

I assume your using a voodoo card?,....If so in the game options you must have the 3d acceleration enabled for the voodoo card to run right...Im wondering if possible you minimizing is working  because you dont have that enabled...??


On a side note, I notice you  quote Ecclesiastes 3:1 in your sigline...what version is that?

If it's a windows game, default for windows is...

ALT+ENTER

or if you have another app. in the background...

ALT+TAB

to switch to that app...

none of the above works with this game...when the game starts the monitor goes black for a second and then it switches into a different mode or something....minimizing the game without the 3d acceleration is no problem...its after that when I cant minimize....

Oh well I give up I guess....only thing that happends is whole PC locks up for me...thats with the windows button as well as alt+esc.... :(

No Ive never done a dual OS partition...I have the gigs for it but just not that big a deal right now because Im still wanting a 2nd PC with just Win 98 and a 5500.....Anytime I use the windows logo key the PC locks up ...so I guess its because of XP and the drivers...But Patience,  thank you so much for your continued help!....

Yes I agree...I had started another thread titled "who wants to help for fun" or something like that...Was asking questions and stuff about getting started etc...I want to build a pc around my voodoo card just for old glide games etc...That way I can just runthe origanal drivers with windows 98 disk I have..
