As far as I know they were still working on it, only prototypes exist. It was intended for release in the beginning of 2001. If I'm not mistaken.

i know they were ready for beginning of 2001, january or febuary
but why no officially announcemend?

Maybe they were not intending to do a paper launch, but have the product fully ready upon annoancement?

Also, it was an OEM product for low-end computers, it wasn't really meant for the retail market like the VSA-100.

hmmm, launch when ready is a goot idear

but not direct low-end
the DDR memory was good for marketing vs the GeForce cards
for low-end 3dfx also have the velocity brand, okay mabe it should be lunched as velocity 500, but we will never know
