Quote:@osckhar - glad your card has been reworked to a working state!
@Obi_Wan - it may be tilted, but it still works!
Yeah you bet !
I kinda decided to leave it like that too, since it's a Final Pre Production Prototype id deserves to be left the way it is, in it's constructed original state
There are some differences between the two, the Proto has PC Bios 1.11DVI which is the original Bios for that card and the production card is flashed with PC Bios 1.18DVI.
The Mac cards were first tested on PC's then when they have pased all tests on PC's they recieved a Macintosh bios for further testing, anyways that is how the procedures went
What also a a nice thing is, is that this Voodoo 5 5500 PCI Macintosh Prototype has a White DVI like it's later Production models
as all the other Voodoo 5 5500 PCI Macintosh Proto's have Black DVI-D's they are also older and more common seen than these with the white ones.
To be honest it's the first Voodoo 5 5500 PCI Macintosh Prototype I have seen with a white DVI-D since the older Rev.A1 2500's have black DVI-D's.
my card is a Rev.A1 2900, maybe it's the card that decided the production model, to be equiped with White DVI-D's instead of the black ones, since I have never met a Production card witha Black DVI, so I suppose this is my rarest card in my collection so far
