Hey guys, on the back of my v4500 agp card i was thinking of putting down thermal tape 1\2 by 1\2 inch on the spot right behind the chip, on top of that i was gonna put a copper riser same size 1\8 thick silver\glued to a crystal orb, im thinking weight on the thermal tape wont be an issue because that side of card faces up, does anyone see anything wrong with my idea, please, please, please post if you do because im starting my mod on this card sunday, i already have the old heatsink off and the area cleaned up and have all my fans and sinks, all i have left is to cut the copper  ::)

hmm ok then  >:(, im moddin my case and since im doing a 3dfx theme i thought it would be cool to mod my 4500 too, plus the damn thing is hot as hell on the back ass side so i thought since i was going to try a little over clocking i might want to address that spot too ;D so now what do you have to say, have you tried a rear heatsink or not ? oh yes i picked up a Zalman with the heatpipe, seems to be a good fit and has a thin sheet of plastic to go between the rear and the sink, well what about that?   :-*

i wouldnt want to damage my card either, im being real careful, when i try to over clock im going to use power strip and go a little at a time.  i have another 4500 in the retail box that will always be my stock card for my collection other wise i wouldnt be doing the mod on this card........also can you tell me is it 1.5 or 1.8 voltage on this card? ty for your help 8)

Hey on that v5 you have is that the 5500 or the 5000? i had my 5500 at 180 and the back of the vchip was real hot but the mem was not even warm, ive read where some ppl say there mem gets warm and others say not at all, do you think its the type mem (6ns, 5.5ns 5ns)?   also ive been trying to find a 5000 for my collection, but i collect only cards that came boxed (retail and promo) was the 5000 a promo or a oem(white box) card, it wasnt reatail box was it? ??? ??? ???

ok ty patience, hey on your 5000 what is its performance like, a 5500 or a 4500?, have you done any testing on it , like mad onion 2001? id sure like to see how that card fits in performance wise  ::)

yes a test with all three cards would be so cool, just with your 5000 against either of the other 2 would be nice, if you ever test it post it please, id love to see that :P
