It seemed to me that Alt-F13 had done this configuration with a couple of 6600s and 2 Voodoo2s.

Yep, should be no Problem since the Voodoo1/2 does not care whether it is connected to an Onboard, ISA, VLB, PCI, AGP or PCIe based Video Card.

mhmm.what about agp aperture size? voodoo2s usualy dont work if its set to more than 128MB..do PCI express cards have something similar (PCI E aperture size perhaps ::) )?
I'm asking because some guy at voodoofiles forum (may it rest in peace :() had serious problems trying to get his v2 SLI working with an x800,and I couldnt get this off my mind ever since..

Hm, never heard of that Problem.

Last time I had my Voodoo2 running besides a 8xAGP Radeon 9700pro I had AGP Aperture anywhere from 64 to 256MB I think, never encountered a single problem (also don't know how AGP Aperture could affect the Voodoo2's fixed Memory Mapping)

The only Problem I could imagine would be an odd Driver quirrel, but as said, never experienced such an oddball myself.
