hmm I must of been confused with the Voodoo5 5500 AGP Rev.A1 0900 the one with the rework above the AGP connector and with tracing for second VGA.

here's that model that confused me:

Gary, is it a reseller (someone else's card) or is it a manufacturer? In case of the latter, would and could you post an image of the card?

You know what would fit in perfectly here, as in 'goodness' ?

Rampage benchmarks; the same you did for your V5 6000 with the Geforce's. Grin

I think that the 6K would beat the Specter 1K AGP in pure speed. though the Specter 1K does have 128 DDR so there may be a chance in some apps it might even bypass the Voodoo5 5500 AGP.

Anyways this is my speculation hehe

The Hardware maybe near to perfection but if the software doesn't cope that well even benching it wouldn't be like it should be, unless there is a way of creating better drivers for it, but I must conclude my brains don't have that capabillity to improve those drivers my lads Lips Sealed

Best Data, a low end but fairly popular brand.

The board actually states "Best Data" on it, of Chatsworth California.

Otherwise it looks just like a Monster board.

The Rampage has a higher clock, the V6K more bandwith and 4 chips.

I'd give the nod to the V6K, I imagine drivers are a bit more robust too.

Don't know when I will have benches, have to wait and see.

12-9-05

Three channel Iron system-

The system has three 200SBi in internal swaplock config with a Supermirco P6 motherboard, Viper 550, Intel 10/100 PCI NIC, dual P3's with 512 MB of ram.

Everything is Quantum3D spec correct (even the drives) and I'm told by one Q3D employee the only thing missing is a heavy coating of dust  Grin

The manual is my touch- It includes all the documentation for the system and pieces along with driver discs, as Quantum3D would have shipped with a system.

The Iron systems were "entry level" with a large number of options ranging from as simple as a Intel Seattle single CPU motherboard with a single 200SBi, or Ventana Voodoo 3 to dual cpu BX or GX motherboards with multi-channel video boards like this.

This was a very challenging project, but rewarding.

And one final shot for fun-

Personally I'm surprised the Dell box held up long enough for me to snap this pic.
