Cool nice too see that you released the Banshee win 98 driver. :)

I tried installing them but I keep getting this error from the Inno Setup installer after pressing the install button:
Directory names cannot include any of the following characters: / : * ? " < > |

If only I could find a way to extract the files from the installer, all I want are the core drivers to test with the already installed 3dfx tools on my 98 HD.

Hope you can fix the installer without much trouble.

Thanks,

EP

Hm, I'm a bit confused now.

We mirror the Voodoo4/5 Evolution V0.9 already, so that checks out okay.

But on the Site there's a Banshee Evolution Driver as well, which has different File Versions than the one we got since 2003.

Is there a new Banshee Evolution Driver out (possibly without having changed the Version Number?)

These appear to be the core drivers from Driver kit: 1.03.00. I guess thery were not what I thought they were.  Sorry if I got anyones hopes up.

Anyway, I got the files extracted with innounp http://innounp.sourceforge.net/. Nice utility, Of course, I've never been a big fan of installers anyway.

Seems : the inf. is from the 20 may even if the D3D core is older than the last Evolution 0.9 for Banshee.

Yes, it is using the older D3D core driver set which actually is more compatible with some games. I just jumped to conclusions earlier without checking the file versions. I assumed they were the unreleased drivers based on the old 98 voodoo3 driver source. My bad. :-[

Hi!.. thx to all for the replies.... ;D

Mmmmh.. let me see....

1- yes, the banshee drivers are "new"and are based on the best core ever made for banshees; it gives really better compatibility and stability, plus new glide files and some touches in the inf file... all the sshots were made with this driver set. (You can check all in http://www.elforo.de/raziel64
Believe me, I was trying hardly to do a better driver set, but this core is better than any other...

2- About the installer error... I'll check and fix it now (is easy to do), thx EP!. I'll post the updated file in few hours.

3- News: I've almost ready a fixed version of the v4/5 drivers. It have some changes (more stability) plus some mods and fixes in the 3dfx tools. I hope that now you can have absolute control over them (a LOT! of options in fact). Plus, an updated banshee driver set for xp users. ;D (I'll talk about them soon).

4- Why the new site?, well, simple, I wish to share with  more ppl the drivers that i'm using here. Maybe they're not the best, so, you can to choose them or not... ;)

Regards.

PS: if you have any opinion about the v4/5 ones, plz, let me know... it is my first try into the VSA world, and some feedback will be really good for future versions. Thx! ;)

Would be interesting if you can fix the "same" core for Win2k (e.g x3dfx Voodoo4/5 Win2K V1.07.00b) under XP.
This way, XP users would have 3 D3D cores different for XP ; can be interesting for them.

Raziel64 just works under Wind9x. :( That work must be for Big Kool.  ;)

Oscar
