I have a "little" problem with the game "RALLY Championship" (Magnetic Fields - 1999)!! :-/

I can not start it coz it's "wants" 8MB of video ram!!!
I have Voodoo3 (8Mb - integrated at MotherBoard /MSI 1868/), and I have 8MB but it still can't start. !Note!: I can't install it coz this problem appears when installation begins. :P

Maby it is problem in Windows (98) ussage of video ram, so game recognise its memory as 7,5 Mbytes or something like that.... I dont know, but please help :'(
I want this game to work so baaad!

Is there any chance to make "fake" ram (+few MBz) to make it work??!

You can try getting rid of the wallpaper, that saved my butt when GTA3 wanted 16megs but i had (apperantly) only 15.3 (due to using a wallpaper, which is saved on the vram)

Yeeeah... It's quite unusual combination.
Belive me, I would like to have a 16Mb (normal) Voodoo3. :'(
BUT, I'm very satisfyed with its performance even with just 8Mbytes ;)
Believe me it is very speedy card ... I started a bunch of games (even I couldn't believe to work) from 2001. and 2002. (such as AvP2, Max Payne, ...)

DenisF, I did that first (removing desktop) when I expirienced a problem!! ;D

Any other "tweaks"!?!?

Well you can go really extreme by setting your desktop to 640*480*16 and using 60hz refresh.

That's about it..

lower your desktop resolution. does dxdiag also report the 7.5mb of ram? there must be some way to fool this.
