Title: Voodoo1 BIOS?
Post by blueshogun96 on 28.02.09 at 03:33:12
Hi falconfly!  Long time reader/surfer, first time poster!  I'm blueshogun, a die hard 3Dfx fan 4 life!  Some of you might have heard of me because of my work on Xbox emulation :P

I was wondering if the BIOS from an original 3Dfx Voodoo Graphics card has ever been dumped.  If so, are there downloads available for it?  I've seen bios files for nearly every Voodoo card except this one!  Why is that?  I've searched Google before, but no luck.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

I also think a look at the old Programming Guides for Glide/Voodoo1 and the old SourceCode package might be the way to go, otherwise I don't think there's anything else useful to optimize Emulation.

Villagetronic was a unique Mac based board with a firmware that prevented use in a PC.

Voodoo Graphics and Voodoo II had no 2D functions and were directly accessed on the hardware level via Glide.

Ok, if it has no bios, then that's okay with me.  I guess that would just make emulating it easier than I initially thought!  Thanks for everything.

Thats why Glide was a pain in the neck to program with...  :-/
