Voodoo 3500 TV, TV tuner locks PC

GrinGreat site!!   Roll EyesDidn't see this issue posted yet...

???When using the latest XP 3500 driver (installed first), and latest visual reality (installed after all driver instructions complete) TV tuner locks PC when run.  Just after keypad appears mouse and entire PC locks and must be powered off/on to recover.

Anyone have ideas about this?  I know XP and 3500 do not do well together.

Anyone get the 3500 to capture video very well?  If so how/what OS/what driver etc.?

trying to install several drivers for my voodoo 3500 tv, but I think since i´ve installed DirextX9 (under Win2k 5) I cannot get my graphic card to work properly:
the official microsoft driver is the ONLY(!) driver that allows me to increase the resolution to more than 600x800 pixels -all other 3dfx tool installers fail!

but even with the microsoft driver which at least allows me to use my voodoo 3500 tv as a normal graphic card, there is no chance to get the (vr) tv software running... it always says: "TV tuner driver missing.. please select "driver" on CD and re-install"... Sad

in addition: regardless which version of 3dfxTools I install: if i select the TV tab on 3dfxTools, my monitor is completely switched off... the only help is to restart the computer...

I think everything was (more or less) well with DirectX8.... difficult to install, not working perfectly at all, but still: i could watch TV then! unfortunately, once DirectX9 is installed it seems to be impossible to "downgrade" to former DirectX-versions... Sad

if someone can help me installing my voodoo 3500 tv under Win2k/DirextX9...
