cool ty, i'd love to see a screen shot of that :) well good work and a very nice price too.

hey on ur site it says it works with nt4 or 2000? of course 2000 would be best bet for mechwarrior, just asking to make sure i got it right :)

Mech 2 is DOS Glide, Mech 3 and up look to be Direct3D (which NT4 doesn't support and Q3D doesn't provide drivers for)

It's what you usually find...

U.S.A. eBayers are not very tolerant of bidders from other countries.

No idea WHY? I mean WE are the ones paying the postage after all!

(present company exempt of course @Gary)

Limited payment options could be one issue, not to mention Paypal's screwed up system which makes it easy to get shafted by a dishonest buyer.

Having to go to the post office and fill out customs forms in triplicate could be another issue too.

I find that most overseas sellers difficult to deal with, with the exception of the UK. The bulk of UK sellers I have delt with have treated me well, even those who stated that sellers outside the UK were not welcome.

A polite note before hand works well ;-)

I always open my auctions up to international bidders in hopes the that the bidding will go higher ;)

i haven't seen one of these before, it doesn't seem like a common box to me, should be a nice addition neway. 3dfx cards are on the rise again on ebay.com.au i've seen a few voodoo 2s lately and they aren't as cheap as they once were.

those SLI packs have been on the UK ebay for way over a year now.

Either he has a limitless supply of these packs, or he ain't shipping what he's selling.

I thought I heard someone from Falconfly actually mention that they took the risk and the guy never sent the package, tho I could be wrong.

Yeah, shipping from the UK to Germany may take a few days, but not 3 weeks -> I bought a lot already from the UK...

Dude, I had no idea :-/

Had I known, I would have thrown in with you :-[

Is this the same seller that you got the 8232's from?

I didn't mean to mess up your deal. Purely a knee jerk reaction when I saw it with a "BIN" option. I was this || close to calling you on the phone but it was pretty late in your time zone and thought you would be sleeping...

Sorry Gary :'(

The 8 MB are just for the main card - the auction states "Come with a 650-0040-01 (4MB)" so it is a 50-4440. ;)

Well, weird is that the accessories are from a "built by 3dfx" V3 3000 - the Villagetronic-cards had other accessories.

Nope - the upper left is a generic card (OEM, maybe built by A-Trend which was a big OEM at that time), the lower left is an A-Trend Helios 3D and the right one is an Innovision Mighty3D II which is not as common as a Creative or Diamond but far from rare.

270euro for this cards is toooo many ::)

40 for the X-24
50 V5 PCI
35 V5 AGP
for the other cards you dont got many, maybe the NV1 with the saturn adapters

also only UK shipping

Sorry, more like £80 for the X-24 mate, and £40 for the NV1, already had an offer for £80 for the X-24, I myself bought it for £75.  ;)

btw. try finding an NV1 on eBay internationally. I can tell you that they are as rare as it gets, even more so with the Saturn plugs.

I know what I'm selling, and I know exactly how much they are worth.

Another V6k for sale in Italy, I think the price is too high since the 3700A (which it is, look at the last photo, it is visible that the second number of the date indicator is a 7, and since I don't know V6k from 1700 or 2700 it has to be a 3700) is the most "common" V6k, I got mine last year for 900 including shipping, import purchasing taxes and customs duty.

You should ask the seller if he has the needed "Medusa" cable to run the card.

If so, it may break $100.00 USD

Not in the picture, I'd bet it's not there.

Ask the seller, might be tucked away somewhere.

Ok, I sent the seller a question asking about the Medusa cable.  If he doesnt have one, is it a hard thing to find?  I didnt know that the card needed a special cable, I guess I didnt look into it that much... :(  I'm kind of new to the 3dfx scene...

Here's what you're looking for if you want to build one.

I'm in the process of building one for my Mercury System but Christmas has slowed down the process.

"It's been a long time since I used the card and I didn't remember needing any special cables, but when I look at the connector on the card, it is not a regular vga connector. I will go threw my stuff and see if I can come up with it.  If you come up with any more info or pictures of it,please send it to me."

That is the reply I got.  Doesn't look like it would be too hard to whip one up however... but it would be nice if he could find that damn cabme  ::)

Sounds like BS to me :-/

If I paid $599.00 back in the day, I would remember a heck of a lot about the card. Back then I couldn't afford one of these and putted around with a single 12MB Diamond Monster VoodooII, cost me $179.00 for the OEM version... Two VoodooII cards running in SLI mode was the bomb :o

Voodoo3 came out before I could afford a second VII but then, why bother ???

I might have made a boo-boo.  I saw Voodoo 4 4500 PCI "Buy it Now" for $59.00, so I submitted an offer of $25.99, just to see if the seller would take less than half of what he was asking, AND it had free shipping.  Long story short, he DID.  I was like "awesome", so I payed him and then went back to the auction to bask in my glory.  Only to read in the description that the card might be AGP.  I dont want agp, i want PCI.  Title and Picture show PCI, therefore it should be PCI, im confuzed what do you guys think... sorry about the long post, i've been drinking a bit and on a buying spree!!! woohoo 3dfx ! anyways, what should i do in this situation?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120202395156&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/120202395156_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40QQfviZ1

EDIT: Now i just noticed it has DVI, does this mean it was made for a MAC? and does this mean I am gonna have problems using it with my PC?

wow, lesson learned here, do my homework and ask more questions...

thanks for any info you guys might have...

thanks for the input gdonovan, and it looks like you are right... the seller contacted me and confirmed that the card is PCI.  Now my question for you is, Whats up with the DVI portion of the video card???  i have not seen this on a 4500 before, granted i am pretty new to the 3dfx scene...

Title: Re: 3dfx Related eBay Auctions (2007 2nd edition)
Post by NitroX infinity on 27.12.07 at 10:02:02
DVI was standard on PCI versions for MAC computers.
Those cards can be flashed with another BIOS to properly work on a PC instead.

Title: Re: 3dfx Related eBay Auctions (2007 2nd edition)
Post by paulpsomiadis on 27.12.07 at 21:34:51
Yup, I have (and several other members too) a MAC V5500 flashed with a PC DVI compatible BIOS.

Should be a similar sort of procedure for the MAC V4500...

Post by Renner on 28.12.07 at 08:21:20
Note that it's not guaranteed to work...

I bought a used Mac V5 5500 two years ago and flashed it to the 1.18(DVI) PC BIOS, and while the card works fine in a Windows machine, the DVI out put does not work.  Period.

I tried various things to get it working, including re-flashing, but no joy.  I don't know if there is hardware damage to the card that has disabled the DVI output, or...?

4 of them have the PCI connector cut off! he is writing this in his auction and you also can see it a bid on the picture.

i think the rest of them are also bad... if they would been known good than he would sell them seperately...

but nice to have as display anyway... at least the boards WITH PCI connector...
