Here is a picture for today- Like the Iron system, I have made manuals for Mercury and AAlchemy. They contain the Quantum3D owners manuals along with sub-manuals for the drive tray, network card, sound card, video card, etc along with driver and system discs.

In some cases finding original driver discs is very difficult! The Viper 550 disk for the Iron system took many weeks of searching on message boards and Ebay.

One day in 1996 I was over a friends house. We had been in a mutual "arms race" over PC hardware.

I was running a bus overclocked 166 (75 mhz) with the original overclocker board from ASUS.

His latest purchase was a Dell with a P-200 which up until *this day* my bus overclocked machine would run over on a regular basis.

On that day in 1996, he fired up GLQuake running on Orchid Rightous 3dfx Voodoo Graphics board.

Thanks to those at 3dfx for changing graphics, forever, you have not been forgotten.

...

1) Daytona PCI "3900", currently in the hands of the master of disaster for tune up and oil change.

The plan is after getting the card to function again to replace the ram with 64 MB of 3.3 ns ram swiped off a GF-5700 and aim for 275+ mhz.

From there extrapolate possible Daytona 5500/6000 performance based on the results.

...

2) V5-6000 A2 with Voodoo Volts, former property of noted 3dfx collector, now here. Perfect function. Oscar has the twin to this board #006

...

3) Yes, the Comdex V5-6000.

It had fan headers so why not a few fans? looks b i t c h ' n! as we say in the states.

...

...

...

...

...

...

4) Quantum3D 4116 prototype.

Yes I am going to try and get it functioning.

Someone watching the board caught an inquiry and passed a picture along to me.

No, I don't own this one.

Would be nice though, I'll have to tap a few of my friends in Asia and see what can be found.
