The wife (SWMBO) and I have a new little family member who is due to arrive anytime.  Therefore, I need to clear out some of my 3Dfx stuff to make room for diapers and baby clothes.  I decided to offer these up on this forum first before trying ebay or craigslist.  Everything is fully tested and 100% functional.  I also listed approximate shipping costs, but I will only charge exact shipping based on buyer location.  Paypal is my preferred method of payment (prices below include all fees).

SOLD Item 1 ($750) - Quantum3D AAlchemy 8232 SX system w/Dual PIII 1 Ghz CPUs.  I picked this unit up a couple years ago from a company that went out of business.  Unit is very clean and appeared to have seen very little use.  It has an 8232SB AA5 video board with the full sized power board and aluminum air tunnel.  The unit is missing the aluminum drive cover (sorry, it came that way).  Buyer pays exact shipping cost.  Shipping will be ~$70 for UPS shipping to United States addresses.  Overseas shipping will need to be computed based on location (shipped weight will be approximately 70 lbs).   I will leave this unit with several games installed and configured to run on the AA5 board.

SOLD Item 2 ($375) - AA5 8232SB Spare Video card assembly with full sized power board and aluminum tunnel.  This came from the same company as the full system did and was a brand new spare unit.  It's been fully tested with about 10 hrs of use and functions perfectly.  This can be combined with the other AA5 board in the SX system to have a 8232DB (Dual board) SLI setup.  Shipping to USA will be ~$20.  Shipping to EU will be ~$45.

SOLD Item 3 ($100) - Canopus Pure 3DII + 3DIILX SLI combo w/LX box.  This set comes with two Pure 3DII cards (one standard w/ TV out, the other is an LX model).  It includes one reverse pass through cable, SLI cable, Manual, Driver CD, and LX retail box (in fair condition).  Both cards have fans installed and are fully functional.  Shipping will be around $15 domestic, probably ~$35 for the EU.

I don't have a connector on hand.  Based on the photos I've seen of it and the spacing of the pins, my local electronics superstore actually has the proper components (very cheap).  The connections appear to be straight across between the boards with no crisscrossed pins.  I would want to get positive confirmation of the the connections between the two boards from another owner of a dual board setup.

Edit: At first I didn't know what "PT" stood for, but I see that it stands for Performance Trilinear technology.  The answer is yes, both boards can render two pixels per clock cycle.  In fact, the designation 8232SB actually means 2 pixels per clock cycle, 32 MB of ram on each chip, single board (SB) config.

With two boards combined, the designation would be 8432DB.  The one downside to SLIing two together is most games won't run using the WickedGL miniport driver.  I believe I read somewhere that only Quake 1 will run correctly in this config. 

With the single board, I can run almost any OpenGL game that is compatible with the 3Dfx miniport driver.  I actually did some tweaking of the registry and installed the final set of drivers that allowed me to unlock the AA setting. The board to run with AA completely disabled, which results in near 8X sli mode (or close to it).  On my Pentium 4 2.66 Ghz motherboard, It's about 4 times faster than a V5 5500 in Quake 3.  It's going to be CPU limited with the original 1 GHz P3 motherboard that came with the SX.

AAlchemy SX Custom Option - The AAlchemy SX system is currently in a custom configuration with a Soyo P4S Pentium 4 motherboard, 2.66Ghz Pentium 4 CPU, 1 GB of DDR RAM, and Geforce 4 Ti 4400 128 MB AGP primary video card in it.  It also has round, black braided IDE cables for the CD-ROM and HDD.  The default Pentium III dual 1 GHz motherboard presents a significant bottleneck for the AA5 video board and this Pentium 4 all but eliminates that restriction.  If you are interested in buying it in this config, please let me know.  I'm about to mod it back to it's original config for the sale, but I figured I would add this as an option.  Price in this config is $750.  This includes a 120GB Maxtor ATA133 hard drive with the proper W2K install on it to match the Soyo motherboard.
