j-dogg YaBB Newbies Offline - i pwn n00bs - Posts: 22	5500 PCI damaged :/ 05.08.05 at 21:44:32 My 5500 PCI is apparently missing a couple parts. Here are the ones: R511 C551 C554 C523 If anyone knows the values for those parts could they please post them up so I can fix it? I'm afraid to power it on, all the parts missing are those guys just under the GPU on the backside.

Obi-Wan_Kenobi Ex Member	Re: 5500 PCI damaged :/ Reply #1 - 06.08.05 at 00:57:36 hehe they are the missing parts for the CVI connector, your Voodoo5 5500 PCI for PC normally does not have a DVI connector , so therefore it may look a little odd norries mate, you can just plug her in

Theres are not unpopulated areas, there are area where there once was a cap or a resistor and there no longer is because it got broke off. I'll plug it in in a minute and see what happens.

However, it's still good for spare capacitors and resistors...so if you need it, a rework will be easy for me to do! 8)

I checked my 'broken' AGP v5500 overheated card for the spare components... Wink

R511 - this SHOULD be missing (at least for AGP cards)

C551 - present
C554 - present
C523 - present

I'll check my PCI V5500MAC later and post again... Wink

Confirmed, all four components exist on my V5500PCI MAC, but bear in mind that different revision cards will have different component layouts... Roll Eyes

...I can still supply the spare parts if you need them @j-dogg! Wink
