It's funny how memory modules evolved in length : FPM 30 pin, EDO 72 pin, SDRAM 168 pin. But DDR,DDR2 and DDR3 were the same length as SDRAM, if the size of those modules would be larger and larger, now we'd have DDR3 with the size of a videocard.
