Title: Help, BIOS DVI V5 AGP4x PROTOTYPE
Post by osckhar on 11.02.05 at 09:57:28
Hi to all,  ;D

Well, yesterday came in the desired package from Italy. I tried the V5 5500 DVI-OUT AGP4x PROTOTYPE and it worked perfectly, but DVI-OUT is not enabled! :( Any advise? Somebody can re-write the bios and activate DVI-OUT?

V5 5500 DVI AGP4x PROTOTYPE (High Quality)

Regards,
Oscar

Yes, I'd leave it alone if it works at all.

On more then one occasion flashing a rare card has led to a card no longer functioning at all and being unable to flash it back.

No offense, but I have to agree with Patience here.

Don't touch the BIOS, you have a history of 'wasting' alot of Cards by misflashing them (not seldomly without chance of success)...

If it's a Prototype, it is and will always be as is.
If it works at all, you're already lucky; if you want to challenge your luck further by flashing a Prototype (which is outright crazy all by itself), well.. good luck.

No problem!

(OFF TOPIC)
Perhaps I am crazy, maybe! I have 2 V4 4500 DVI . They have not the right bios, not enabled DVI-OUT. Well, right now they are working flawless with the DVI-OUT enabled. Thanks to flash the bios utilizing a prototype bios. This is bad done? Mmmmm, I think no...

@Patience,
You are IMPRESSIVE!  ;D

This is the Democracy and thanks to that, you're also free to do and think what you want/like.

Actually the board is Falconfly's domain and democracy rules don't apply, Falconfly's does.  ;D

I live in the US, I'm posting on Falconflys board, the rules of where I live do not apply.

If you are in my living room there are certain ground rules that apply since it *is* my home. In a manner of speaking we are are in Falconflys home and he lays out the ground rules, as is his right.

*lol*
I do have to add, though, that I do prefer some Democracy among the Boards ;D

Anyway, this is getting way off-topic, all positions towards flashing rare Cards have been presented in detail.
That should do it and conclude the off-topic discussion IMHO.

edit 1 : no democracy = tyranny

Hmm... Too good to let pass by.

No democracy = "different System"

After all, I hold no vote when I decide to delete or edit a Posting, nor would there be any vote if I was to ever delete the entire thing or Ban a User/IP/IP Range whenever I see the need to do so.

If that's automatically Tyranny, then all Forums would be places of pure Tyranny, an Admin would be consequently a dictator ;)

PS.
We should move/open that Part of the discussion into the Off-Topic area if anyone desires.

Nah, it's mostly only 'NIX admins that have a superiority complex... ::) :P

The admins in this forum are pretty reasonable people, unless you P!SS them off somehow... :o

(cue Falcon and his Urukai face! LOL!) ;D

Sure, too good.
Democracy is more diversified than people think and in different systems (economic and social) but as said when no democracy, you see tyranny.

You are incorrect- The US isn't a democracy but a republic. It's refered to as a democracy all the time but isn't.

Pure democracy is mob rule, and I have seen a number of webboards reduced to rubble by people who claimed it was a democracy and could do what they pleased.

The bottom line is this board isn't a nation with a political system but a private owned and run operation and we are guests.
