I use the Wikipedo 1.1 driver under windows 98SE, for my voodoo5
and in 3DFX tools/3DFX Advanced Features/OpenGL-Glide : there's a DOT3 Emulation setting which can be set to enabled/disabled
there's also '"Environment Bump Mapping Emulation (only Glide)"
I'd like to know if these bumpmapping emulation really work, and how can I try them?
I just tried Quake Tenebrae
It prompts me "ARB_texture_env_dot3 not found" (I'm not surprised; we'd need an updated openGL driver)
do these emulations work by just using emboss bumpmapping?
or are they completely unusable at all
are driver teams really working to bring DOT3 bumpmapping to the voodoo5 (this would allow us to run doom 3?
