I recently downloaded the Unreal II: eXpanded MultiPlayer (XMP) Pack (Standalone, Unreal 2 not needed for playing), and this it really good stuff

Has anyone tried it on, let's say, Voodoo4 or Voodoo5 ?

min. Requirement is DirectX 8.1, and a lowly GeForce2 MX, so with 3D Analyzer for example, a Voodoo5 should be even faster (if it works, that is)

I only tried the first unreal 2 demo, in 640x480, 16bits textures,  FSAA 4x, LOD -1.5

I can just see the first scene with the spaceship in orbit

and then just an image from the surface of the planet, with gorgeous quality, but it crashes in less than one second  8)

I turned off many things in unreal2.ini
but I'm looking for a well voodoo5 optimized unreal2.ini

I'm on amigamerlin 2.9 ,  ut2k3 and america's army run w/o problem

tried this U2XMP demo, it runs without any bug with 32bits textures on my voodoo5

but it's a crawl with my 700mhz CPU, and I can't find a good server
