Hi Obi

Yes, you are right.. Wink I tested the number 5 several times and i noticed, that it is a mix of 5500 number 5 mark. Just keeping those other darker sides what is  inside number 5 and adding orange on the other areas  makes it looks like in tiny one. So the number 5 is not as others voodoo5 boxes in it's coloring.

Regards

Hi

Just imagine, that you cut paste the Mac voodoo5 number 5 mark and replace the green area in orange... Wink (3dfx logo's wing orange) That makes the trick

Whoah!!!
That V5 6k box is awesome! Hyvää työtä KokoHemmo!
V5 6000 is the card what do want the most. How did you ever guys get your hand on them. I have troubles to find V5 5500. because GF2 was way more popular than V5.
Too bad that I've lost my orginal V2 box, fortunately I still have tha manual an d the driver cd.

hey Mansfield,

The V5 6000 is still being built by Hank Semenec I think, he has a few pcb's left with chips and all and he'll build you one for I think around 800 euries at least.

Don't know if he still does, but he used to.

if you look around on ebay.de and ebay.co.uk you'll find a few v5 5500's, most agp, some pci.

They pop up from time to time. Most don't have boxes tho.

find some here:

AGP without box

enough to choose. Smiley

Like Gary said,
maybe make the box go bigger, like those we see in Asus or MIS packaging these days Smiley
to accomodate for the Power Brick other goodies.

One problem-

1) Power supply and board won't fit in std. 5500 box

2) Marketing people state the V5-6000 was going to be shipped in a "metal tin" display box.

It might have been something for a window display.

I never said it would actually contain the gfx card. Just that the box existed. Also, since the card was still 'in production' maybe someday it could have fitted inside the box. Smiley

to be honest the Voodoo 5 was far more popular than the GeForce2 since which is normal for any true die hard 3dfx fan Wink
