DirectX versions 1, 2 and 3.
14.06.05 at 18:01:04
I've come across an old PC demo disc from the April 1997 issue of Computer Gaming World (CGW, later renamed PCGW) which I needed to dig out to reclaim a copy of the first release of Worldcraft for Quake.
I also came across three different versions of DirectX. These are v1.0, v2.0 and v3.0.
I noticed that FalconFly already has DirectX 2 and 3, but not the first release.
If anyone requires any three of the versions (for some reason if you can't get the last 2 from FF's Archive), let me know and I will host them?
@FalconFly - Would you be interested in the original setup files for archiving purposes?

Adding DirectX version 1.0 would be cool. The DirectX collection will be bigger then

Okay, here it is.
I've packaged the original folder into a ZIP file, as it came uncompressed originally.
You can find it here:

I would suspect this version of DirectX is getting pretty difficult to find on the net nowadays. I'm betting even Microsoft don't have it available for download anymore.

Sorry, but I have been unable to successfully install it, as I think it requires the Win95 OS, which I don't have installed on any of my rigs at the present time.
Let me know how you get on with it.

Okidok, got it
I don't plan to install it myself either, no Win95 installed here since a long time.

I have running Windows '95 on my 386SX25 with 4MB
But since the computer is benchmarking I'm not fiddling around with it. Maybe I'll try DirectX 1 someday on a 486 or something
