To Modify something saves alot of money by building something entirely new, and a modification of a B747 means a new type of B747 Wink

The B744 LCF orsay Boeing 747-412 Large Cargo Freighter, the name say it it's self, it is a freighter anyway you see it Smiley

Don't get your point here. Sure, it's a freighter...
I just metioned that the airplane is not entirely new. That's a fact. Simply a modification.
Can' t wait to see this beast flying in Boeing Dreamliner colours Smiley

Even it is a Modification, It's still a new look anyways as the Boeing 747-400 was a new plane compared to the Boeing 747-300, so is the Boeing 747-400 LCF compared to the Boeing 747-400F Wink

Indeed modded, but to Mod something and create something new doesn't mean it's an old design Wink

It's a new design for the 747-F series which

A. it is a new Freigther for the Boeing Company

B. It can house more than a Beluga or A380F

C. The Antonov AN-225 still hoilds the biggest Hull.

These are facts too.

Did you know that the Beluga is actually a modified Airbus A300-600 Roll Eyes, which was released as a NEW plane, so why not the B744-LCF? Which Boeing does see ans a new plane, after thier idea was rather smart Smiley

Uhm...yeah Beluga is a modified A300-600. Nothing more. I don't care if it is a new plane or if it announced as it. Basic 747 is the 100 type. All other version are simple improvements. One more, one less. But still one type. Boeing speaks about "The 747 Series".

btw: Doesn't matter if the 744LCF can handle more freight as a A380F..it is not for the commercial market. The A380F is. What the An225 is doesn't matter too. This plane plays in a different league (you may think about fuel costs) and there is only one type available for special cargo flights.

I didn't ask if you cared Roll Eyes

"The fuselage of the 747-400 LCF will even be 45.7cm wider than that of an A380. According to Boeing, the 747 LCF will actually be the biggest cargo aircraft in the world in terms of volume."

that is all what I was aiming at, not stupid lectures like I don't care

Then I think, why would you waste your time posting things in my topic if you don't care about the main subject ??? Angry

The B747 LCF is still Boeings newest Freighter, even if it's a modified one, like the 400 was compared to the 300, and the 300 compared to the 200 as the 200 compared to the original 100.

The 747 familly just got bigger with the new B747-LCF , which has the largest cargohold in the world in terms of volume 8)

Sorry...but stay in your dreamworld. Seems that you don't get my point at all.
This is it.

Uhu..Boeings new freighter. Very great. Boeing exklusive, but bigger than the A380F. Who cares about that? Fanboy crap.
The An225 is the biggest freighter around the world. One type available, flying for Antonov Design Bureau (recently this bird was in Berlin...you can't imagine the wonderful sound of this giant:) ) Wonderful plane. But this bird can't mess and also don't has to mess with Boeings 747 Freighters (There are lots of them, not just from the -400 series. Even 100er are still flying -think Evergreen has some.)

Like the newest addition of the Boeing 744 series. Boeing simply don't care if the freighter is bigger as the A380F. They NEED this airplane badly - to transport fuselage parts of the 787 from Asia (for example).

THAT was my point. Makes no sense to compare exclusive Airplanes with commercial Airplanes. And the discussion exactly about this point starts somewhere on page 1.

Dreamworld? what Dreamworld?
Where are you off to matey?

The 747 familly just got bigger with the new B747-LCF , which has the largest cargohold in the world in terms of volume Smiley and I know it's for B787 parts to ship from USA to Aisian territories, but that still does not mean it isn't a Cargo plane Roll Eyes.

the dutch F16-As were also modded with new advanced cockpits, navigation hardware and other nice equipment they also looked different than they were as before, to Mod something is to bring a new from into something than it's original state.

To Modificate something is to renew the product so it's durancy will hold on for a few extra years, as the Netherlands did with the F-16-A which became the F16-N, it was seen as a new plane for the Royal Dutch AirForce and it was purely modified but gave the pilots a new look into the whole F16 program.

So even if a modification has been taken place it doesn't mean the end result is an old plane, when the Beluga came it was seen as anew aircraft too, so will it be for the LCF.
