Title: voodoo2 for powermac
Post by 3dfxdragon on 16.04.09 at 19:30:05
would anyone have any working card together with the needed apple video cable included? (don't mind if its either pc card with db15-vga passthrough cable or a mac card with db15-db15 passthrough cable you know?)

not wanting to spend too much so think I'll pass up on voodoo3+'s unless any of you are wanting to make a bargin  :)

wasn't sure whether to edit or just add a new reply but anyhow the reason I wanted to ask for this for a while now is because I'll like to be able to improve the graphics without (unless I was wrong on how it worked) losing the 7x00's onboard video-in that seem to pass through the onboard gpu for as long as I just can't find an avid pci card but thats a completely different topic :D

as far as I know any voodoo2 will work on MAC as the v2 doesn't have a bios onboard.
I have a few cards, all voodoo2, but will have to test them.
Almost all are 12MB.

If you are interested I can test a few for ya?!

Ohh and adding a voodoo2 will not work the same as SLI/Crossfire as in the more ya add, the more powerfull it becomes.
Voodoo2's are old cards, if you have a rig that has a videocard that is Geforce2 or higher, Voodoo2, even in SLI will set your FPS back.

ultima..well...thats true what you said perhaps, but no geforce2 ever came in pci version for pre-agp macs so ;)

I'll prefer to order from someone in canada or boxed as gift from usa but thanks still to both of you :)
