Yea noticed that as well. 

I'll say this it will take months to cap this well. There is really only three options. One do nothing like they are doing now till the oil field has become depleted. Option two the nuke option, if not only have to get the depth right but also the yield. Worse still they have to drill a relief well just to get the pressure down enough to lower the bomb. Also the diameter of the well is a major factor, the range is 5 inches to a max of 36 inches. On top of that this would be a first of its kind  to have been attempted. To shallow we're screwed and same if two deep and the chamber doesn't collapse properly. The last option is drilling a relief well and attempt to cap at the surface (takes time) but by then the gulf will be nothing more than a toxic sludge pond with the Atlantic on it's way to becoming the same due to the Gulf Stream.

The people running things know exactly what they're doing.
