Yes you can run the V5 MAC PCI card in a PC if you flash it with the appropriate BIOS.
I suggest looking the in link bellow where you will find the BIOS version with DVI support and flash tools you will need. http://3dfxbios.cl-rahden.de/doku.php Good luck, G1nX |

Thx G1nX,
so far I can understand, BIOS for PC PCI V5 download and flash it in PC PCI slot with one of listed falsher. Can I dump the MAC BIOS for backup purposes in MAC OS file format or for MAC OS flasher?? Which flasher is apropriate for V5? Most important question... do that sence? I would like to use it but not to destroy it. Thx in advance P.S. the apropriate BIOS should be 1.18 with DVI support (I hope) |

Use the latest version flash tool 2.17 and Bios version 1.18 with DVI support. You can make a dump of the MAC bios using DumpBIOS but the flasher tool will also make a backup of the existing BIOS prior to re-flashing the card with the new version and save it as SAVE.ROM On the same website you have the tools for flashing a card with MAC BIOS but haven't used those so can't tell you if they work to use the card again in future on a MAC system. This method has worked for me without issues on two V5 MAC cards and unless your card has some physical damage it should work also after reflashing. Cheers, G1nX |
